Before you begin

How to get the most from this course

Six things worth knowing before your first module. Come back to this page any time from the navigation above.

1Do the modules in order
Start with the initial assessment above, then Module 0. Modules 0, 1 and 2 are the foundation. Without them, the rest practices are just tips. With them, everything makes sense. Each lesson unlocks the next one when you mark it complete.
2Write in the reflection boxes
The transformation comes from doing, not just reading. Everything you write is saved automatically as you type. When you consider a reflection finished, mark it complete and it comes off your dashboard.
3Take the quizzes seriously
They are short and they help you retain what you learn. If you get something wrong, the explanation shows you why the right answer works. You can review any quiz later from the Progress page.
4Come back at your own pace
One module at a time is enough. Some exercises run over several days. Your Homework dashboard always knows what today asks of you, so you never need to remember where you left off.
5Download your answers
At the end of key modules you can download your reflections and your personal rest plan as a PDF to keep, print, and return to whenever you need it.
6Check the Homework dashboard every day

Lessons and homework run on separate clocks. A lesson is read once. The exercises it gives you carry on for days or weeks afterwards, and several of them run at the same time.

Marking a lesson complete does not complete its exercises. It records that you have read it and unlocks the next module. The reflections and practices it started stay open until you mark each one done yourself.

This is why the Homework dashboard exists. It holds everything still outstanding: what today asks of you, which day you are on in each multi-day practice, and any reflection still waiting to be finished. You never have to remember any of it.

Make a habit of opening it once a day, whether or not you are doing a lesson that day. Someone taking one module a week still has practices running in between. Checked daily it takes a minute. Left for a fortnight it becomes a pile.

Ready when you are

Two places to know. The Course dashboard is where the lessons live. The Homework dashboard is your daily agenda of exercises.
